Another reason to upgrade Project Server 2003 to sp2
In doing some routine maintanence for an instance of Project Server, I discovered a reason to upgrade our version of Project Server from sp1 to sp2. Now why weren't already there is a different discussion. But what I learned is that there is a numeric limit when adding Values to a custom field in your Enterprise Global. And it looks to be around 57. (Why we need 57 is a different blog post!)
However, if your Project Professional Client is upgraded to SP2, then you can access that value list and the global. With Project Professional Client with SP1, you cannot open Projects or save new projects. Of course I'm sure with Project 2007 this won't be a problem, since the whole Enterprise Global is moot.
