Project Technet Site is Live (Including Upgrade instructions)
The Project Technet site for Project 2007 is now available. I looked at the upgrade documentation, and am a little concerned about our upgrade. We have highly customized the sharepoint side of things, so I am assuming we will have to do some tricks in this part of the upgrade. We have seperated Sharepoint from 2003 Project Server, and now have 1 sharepoint site per Project. Not sure how we'll migrate that yet.
The other issue we will have is going over 40 custom Text Fields. Because of this limitation in 2002-2003, we have some custom text fields in our own custom tables. So I'm not sure how the conversion will go for that. I would love to see the Project Team give us some guidance or a way to easily get that custom data into the new schema. I'll let you know how that goes.
