It's beautiful outside but my pale body wouldn't know because I am stuck in my hotel room working on my sessions that I will be delivering tomorrow at Microsoft ASP.NET Connections. Yesterday, I presented a very successful hands-on workshop on ASP.NET 2.0 to about 80 developers. .NET guru and prolific author Dino Esposito was kind enough to help out during the labs. Thank you, Dino!

In addition to working on my sessions I am also furiously helping to write a grant proposal to the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in gene therapy for my job at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. What a crazy week. I did manage to spend a little time last time eatiing cake, drinking Heiniken, and talking to Dave Sussman, Alex Homer, Dino, Michele Leroux Bustamante, Nick Landry, Shirley & Gary Brothers, Marcus Egger, Rick Strahl, and several others. That is one of the best things about these conferences, seeing the friends I have come to know over the years and catching up. It makes the sleepless nights and the pressure of the presentation worth it. Oh, and helping attendees learn something. That's what makes it all worthwhile.

Later,
Paul
