Day 6 and 7 of SSRS Videotaping
Saturday (day 6) of the SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services courseware taping went slower than planned. We were supposed to spend the morning taping the last 1.5 chapters and then the afternoon doing "head" shots where we tape all of the on-camera spots in front of a camera. Saturday was brutal: I was there from 7 AM until 7 PM and was dissapointed that we couldn't finish it. All on about 2 hours of sleep too. So I went back to my room rescheduled my return flight to Seattle and collapsed at 9 PM.
Got up at 5:20 AM on Sunday (day 7) and drove over to Starbucks for much needed caffiene and finished writing all of my on-camera dialog. One decent night of sleep sure helped. This morning we finished the on-camera work and the last half of chapter 12. We were done around 1:30 PM.
What a week. I'm heading home now. So I still have to finish the writing of the last chapter, chapter 12. I ended up shooting the chapter without completinig the writing (I completed the content for all previous 11 chapters). Then I begin on the labs. Twelve chapters worth, but they aren't due for 3 weeks from now.
And if all goes well, the course will be up for sale at the end of the September. So it's off to the airport and back to Seattle.
