Intersoft Solutions announces WebUI codename "Sirius", the next generation UI components targeting Silverlight 1.0 platform.

October 29th, 2007 – Jakarta, Indonesia Intersoft Solutions Corp., the industry’s leading WebUI component provider announces the next generation of WebUI components codename "Sirius". "Sirius" is going to be the industry’s first commercial Web User Interface components built upon the officially released Silverlight 1.0 technology.

The "Sirius" and Silverlight together enable a richer Web experience never possible before using DHTML technology, such as seamlessly combining core animation and visual effects in many elements of the user interface during user interaction. "Sirius" is also built upon the company’s advanced WebUI.NET Framework to provide consistent server-side object model and familiar usage in ASP.NET Web development. The end result is ASP.NET developer can easily consume "Sirius" Web components in the same way and manner as they used other Intersoft’s products in either Visual Studio 2005 or forthcoming Visual Studio 2008 development environment.

"We want to make web-application to be more "lively", attractive and more importantly easy to implement. This is what Sirius project all about. Sirius introduces components that use Silverlight technology, but it does not mean you need to master XAML or Silverlight in order to use any of these components." says Andry Handoko, Intersoft’s Chief Technology Officer. "The component is as simple as any ASP.NET component where you can define the control from control properties. However we also support strong customization support through XAML, so if you do master XAML you can interpret your imagination through XAML and attach it to the control."

The "Sirius" is a set of modern and slick Web User Interface components designated to bring a unique navigation experience for your Web applications or Web sites. One of the main components demonstrated in the WebUI "Sirius" preview demo site is FishEye Dock control. This advanced navigation Mac-style Dock UI control is strived to set a new breakthrough in the WebUI industry by extensively taking advantage of Silverlight 1.0 technology. The "Sirius" Dock control is designed with every little detail so that it entirely resembles the functions, animation behaviors and features similar to the one originally introduced in Mac OS X. The final version of the "Sirius" Dock control will also be featuring the Stacks – both elegant arc and grid mode.

As of the nature of Intersoft’s components, WebUI "Sirius" is packed with loads of unique innovations and rich features, as well as completely customizable styles and appearance – from simple background setting to advanced Xaml-specific string. An example of the unique innovation is the ability to show the Dock control in Left, Top or Right side of the screen – in addition to the standard Bottom side. When docked to the side other than Bottom, the Dock automatically reflect the visual effects and animations. The "Sirius" would also have tight integration with the company’s flagship WebDesktop.NET component. For instance, you can create a truly compelling Web application that is similar to Mac experience by using WebDesktopManager and Dock UI component available in the "Sirius". The following screenshot illustrates the result of the tight integration. "The brand-new Microsoft Silverlight technology has attracted many developers from various platforms around the world and we are thrilled to be the first in the industry that come up with high-level and reusable implementation of Silverlight in the form of ASP.NET component model.", says Jimmy Petrus, the CEO of Intersoft Solutions Corp, "This project [WebUI Sirius] will significantly improves Web experience as it delivers a new kind of UI components never possible done before. We combine the best of three technologies (ASP.NET, DHTML and Silverlight) into one – and the result is Sirius. " The announcement of Intersoft’s forthcoming WebUI "Sirius" would not be complete without a polished live demo site. We have prepared a live demo site containing several sample scenarios so that you can have better ideas and pictures about the "Sirius" project. The "Sirius" live demo site is also designated for enthusiasts and advanced UI developers to experience WebUI "Sirius" directly. The final release of WebUI codename "Sirius" is slated to release on early year 2008. Click any of the thumbnail images in the following to see the larger screenshots of "Sirius Dock".
