Intersoft Solutions Corp., the industry’s leading WebUI component provider announces the official name of its product lines targeting Silverlight platform. The next generation of Intersoft WebUI for Silverlight – formerly known as “Sirius” – is now named as WebAqua.NET™.
The company believes that WebAqua name is the definitive brand for its Silverlight-targeted components which naturally reflects the attributes, metaphors and behaviors of the products. WebAqua has philosophy of delivering innovative products with comprehensive out-of-the-box user experience. It is aimed to shine up your Web application with aqua-fresh and crystal-clear User Interface
WebAqua.NET™ is a collection of User Interface components built upon three technologies: WebUI.NET Framework™, ASP.NET™ and Silverlight™. WebAqua is also the industry’s first commercial product that delivers robust, stable and high performance UI components by taking advantage of matured Silverlight 1.0 technology.
In its first release, WebAqua premieres two high-end WebUI components designated to bring rich user experience for your Web. For instance, you can now create interactive RIA applications that perfectly mimic the look and feel of Mac OS – from the animation aspect to the smooth user experience. The WebAqua consists of two components:
WebFishEye – the Mac OS-style Dock, now shines on the Web.
WebFishEye™ is a modern dock navigation control modeled after the Mac’s Leopard operating system. WebFishEye includes dozens of innovative features such as ability to customize the visual effects of the button, ability to show sub items in either Elegant Arc mode or Grid mode, as well as superior appearance customizability and XAML support.
WebFishEye includes out-of-the-box animation support that developers can control with simple property set. Interestingly, you can also control most aspects of the layout – such as the magnified size of the fish eye button, the dock backgrounds, tooltip text, custom font source and much more.
WebCoverFlow – the spectacular Media Player with Cover Previews.
WebCoverFlow™ is a sophisticated and advanced Media Player designated to bring you the experience of iPhone-style Cover Flow interface. WebCoverFlow is capable to display pictures and movies in a perspective view. You can easily switch from one to another media by simply clicking on the cover item.
Besides its phenomenal concepts, WebCoverFlow includes incredibly powerful features that make it a true revolutionary Web UI and UX. For instance, the reflection glass will automatically follow the current view even when the sliding animation is running. The entire built-in animation support plus the out-of-the-box navigation (scrollbars and slideshow are provided) enables everyone to deliver such sophisticated user experience in minutes.
WebCoverFlow also includes movie media support and playback features. When the media type is detected as movie, the movie player will automatically appear inside the “cover preview”. You can simply click on the Play button to watch the movie directly in its current location.
WebCoverFlow also supports comprehensive full screen mode. In full screen mode, all cover items are automatically resized. This enables you to watch a picture or a movie closely by viewing them in full screen mode. In addition to full screen for the cover flow, the control also includes a special Movie Full Screen support.
WebCoverFlow includes advanced Load on Demand which tell the control to download the medias when it’s requested. It also supports .NET databinding via DataSourceID and a lot of appearance customizability.
WebAqua™ and WebDesktop™ – Better Together.
WebAqua worked perfectly with the existing ecosystem of WebUI Studio.NET™. Instead of building your RIA application from scratch, you can simply drop an instance of WebFishEye and WebCoverFlow component to your existing Web page, set several properties and defines the data structure. Since WebAqua is built on the top of WebUI.NET Framework™, working with WebAqua comp5onents are exactly the same rich experience as the other Intersoft’s components. No XAML knowledge needed, no Blend needed.
