WebScheduler.NET goes to enterprise-level

After a successful initial release of WebScheduler.NET, we have made a great effort to enhance WebScheduler.NET to be the most feature-complete scheduling component in the industry. Today, we set the standard bar higher by delivering you some enterprise-level features, such as: Timeline™ View, TrueSplitView™ and the extendable Open-architecture editing form. Timeline™ View is an innovative feature which allows end-user to view their data from different perspective – resources on the rows and time on the columns. With two types of views integrated, end-user has the freedom to view his/her event information based on their requirement. This feature is made to be a prominent enterprise-level usage where end-user requires various views over their event information in minimum mouse clicks.

Timeline Day View enables end-user to view their event information in daily basis for the selected month.

Timeline Time View, on the other hand, offers more detailed event information viewing. It gives clear information about the events information within one week time span in hourly basis.

WebScheduler.NET takes the extensibility concept beyond. With the introduction of Open-architecture editing form in its initial version, WebScheduler.NET is back to extend this concept beyond your imagination. You can actually use your own control or standard ASP.NET control and assign it as an editing field while also reusing the editing form itself. This means that developer has greater control over the editing form look-and-feel and behavior.

Along with the introduction of Timeline™ View, WebScheduler.NET announces the truly innovative TrueSplitView™ to complete the Timeline™ View as well as the existing 6 Views. This feature enables user to view all of their events grouped by resources in an innovative way. It helps user understand their data better than ever before.

Introducing the industry’s first accessibility-compliant data grid

It has been countless times since we mentioned WebGrid.NET Enterprise as one of the most sophisticated, most feature-complete data grid in the industry. Along in this release, WebGrid.NET is shipped with many major enhancements to meet certain specific scenarios.

One should-be-mentioned enhancement is supporting Section 508. In short, Section 508 is a mandate for all electronics or Information Technology products includes Web pages to be fully accessible by disabled people. In a single property set, developer can build a powerful Web-application with WebGrid.NET for visually disabled people.

Thanks to the rock-solid framework and Client APIs, certain adjustments are made in the component level to ensure that it fully complies with this standard while also maintaining the backward compatibility with the existing features. This means that you can build Section 508 ready Web-applications while also enabling the powerful WebGrid.NET Enterprise features without any breakings.

In addition to the humanity feature, WebGrid.NET Enterprise also enhances the multiple row selection mechanism. In the previous version, multiple row selection is done by simply checking on the checkbox in the first column. Now, you can use the combination keyboard strokes plus clicks to select multiple rows or block a range of rows. The behavior of this elegant solution is similar with the desktop multiple items selections, something that almost all computer users are familiar with. The combination this new multiple row selection behavior with WebGrid.NET innovative context menu creates an indisputable sensation in data interaction.

Use CTRL + Click, SHIFT + Click, or CTRL + SHIFT + Click to select multiple rows

Another important enhancement that should not be forgotten is the ability to preserve the selected/checked/expanded rows after every FlyPostBack™ or FullPostBack action. This top-requested enhancement is typically useful when combined with paging, sorting, or grouping functionalities. You can now scroll back and forth without losing the state of the rows.
