Leveraging Cryptography in ASP.NET Web Sites
Learn how to utilize Microsoft .NET cryptography in your Web sites. Discover practical uses for hashing, digital signatures, and symmetric/asymmetric encryption. Review ASP.NET features that use cryptography such as viewstate and ASP.NET configuration protection. Use keyed hashing to secure querystring parameters and how to use asymmetric encryption to protect information such as credit cards collected on public Web servers. Add encryption and digital signatures to information sent to partner Web sites to provide confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation for data exchanges. All of these scenarios are easy to add to ASP.NET Web sites via built-in .NET functions.
