SQL Doc from Red-Gate Software
Ever wish there was a quick and simple way to document your SQL Server 2000 or 2005 database? Well look no more! I recently picked up a copy of SQL Doc from Red Gate of which you can find the product details here.
What makes this product great in my opinion is it's simplicity in use. All you have to do is connect to your database and select the database entities that you want to document. Take a look at the UI for yourself:
As you can see the UI is clean and simple and in the above screen capture I have selected tables, views, and programmabilty to document. Now all there is to do is generated the documentation and your done. Now the documentation that is generated is very meaningful and I love the fact the documentation contains the SQL itself to create the dabase entities. Finally the documentation is clean and easy to navigate.
I give this product a thumbs up and if you have a need for database documentation then Red-Gate has you covered.
