MSF and MOF - What's In It For Me?

Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) and Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) are a related pair of frameworks to help users develop and operate IT solutions effectively and efficiently. MSF is an agile development framework, aimed at developers. While home grown by Microsoft, MSF incorporates best practice from across the IT industry. And with Version 4, MSF will have the SEI's CMMI approach baked in. MOF is an approach to running a great operational service. MOF is based on ITIL, with some important extensions. This BOF session is intended to examine what MSF/MOF is, and to explore how it can be used by developer to deliver superior IT solutions. We will discuss mostly MSF 3, with some discussion about MSF 4l. The BOF session assumes no prior knowledge of MSF or MOF.
