Vine Type 2 for .NET framework 2 is now available. There are some performance improvements and a couple bug fixes. Ma.gnolia lists are now cached on your web server and updated from the live Ma.gnolia site once per hour. This reduces the strain on Ma.gnolia and provides improved performance, so it's goodness all around. Changes to your lists on Ma.gnolia don't appear instantly, but hopefully this won't be a problem -- I haven't had any problems waiting a little while for my lists to update.
In addition, I've added support for alternating styles of articles and/or comments, and the biggest coding change was altering they way search results are displayed. In v1, Vine Type displayed search results "WordPress-style" ie entire articles would be displayed. Vine Type v2 now provides a more Google-like summary and articles snippets with keyword counting and highlighting.
Sincerely,
Carl
