We are currently conducting a search for a next generation personalized homepage provider that enables users to easily customize the Internet using small movable versions of their web favorites that are conveniently accessible from any computer and from one page.
Our
client is at the heart of the Web 2.0 movement poised to have significant
impact in the market. They are funded by Benchmark Capital and headquartered in
San Francisco, CA.
We are
seeking a stellar Director of Developer Programs to take overall responsibility
for our client’s relationship with the developer community.
This position will:
- Evangelize widgets and the
SDK to the developer and early adopter communities. Speak at and attend conferences,
networking events, and informal developer gatherings. Produce blogs, articles, and
whitepapers.
- Manage, provide and drive
developer support and community through developer forums.
- Lead product management for
the SDK including producing specifications, sample code, libraries and
documentation based on developer feedback and requirements. Work with the engineering team to
develop, maintain and release new versions of the SDK.
- Achieve defined targets for
adoption and usage of the SDK by developers.
- Achieve defined targets for
developer creation of content and widgets using the SDK.
- Work with developers at
business partners as they produce content and widgets related to marketing
and revenue-generating partnerships.
- Develop compelling widgets
and content using the SDK.
- Participate in overall
product strategy and product marketing.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years experience and
measurable success managing developer programs in the consumer web
services space, including attainment of API adoption goals.
- BS in Computer Science (or
equivalent software development experience)
- Significant software
technology evangelism experience.
- Significant development experience with .NET
framework, AJAX
and web services.
- Experience leading,
participating and contributing to the developer community and encouraging
early adopters.
- Significant experience
writing and managing blogs and participating in mailing lists and
developer online forums.
- Outstanding credibility,
leadership and established relationships within the developer community.
