I've been using Google Webmaster Tools for a while now and every so often there's a post that says something along the lines of "Google isn't indexing my whole site." That isn't too surprising -- the folks from Google readily admit that they do not index every page of every website on the planet. (That's news to some folks apparently!)
The downside to this fact is that if you use a Google Search Widget on your website, it will only return results from pages that Google indexes. Another thread theme I've seen on the forum on several occasions is "Google shows different numbers of pages from my website every day -- sometimes X and sometimes Y" where X and Y can differ by...hundreds of pages. That was news to me by the way.
Then of course, there's the problem that when you add a page, there will be a delay (a day, two days, a week, or more) until Google indexes a new page and then the results appear on your Google Search Widget.
Anyway just a heads up that none of these problems appear when you have a Vine Type website
- pages are indexed the moment you create them
- every page's text is searched every time
- every page's text is indexed
Google Search is good -- but there are some limitations that can cause one headaches if they're unaware of them.
Sincerely,
Carl
