I think google indexes more than one level.  My blog http://iamacamera.org has more than 100 pages and google indexes them all.  The Vine Type site http://vinetype.com has over 200 pages and google indexes them all.  So don't feel that you won't be indexed with the current Vine Type URL scheme.   Also for the low low price of $20 you get google site map (and generic search engine site map) capabilities in the Pro version.  Sorry for shameless plug.  :-)
