Hi,

I see that we cannot use Atlas server controls in .ascx pages.

Please suggest a workaround or let me know if i am missing something.

I beleive you can use Atlas controls in an .ascx (user control).

What issues are you seeing or what errors are you experiencing?

i need some help on how to build custom atlas server controls...any sample code would be of great help.

No probs. I can help but I have limited experience in building controls with Atlas. The documentation is also somewhat limited right now (ie. none). The best place to get help is either the Atlas forums (http://atlas.asp.net) or blogs by either Bertrand LeRoy (http://weblogs.asp.net/bleroy/), Nikkhil Kothari (http://www.nikhilk.net/Category.aspx?id=1) or Wilco Bauwer (http://www.wilcob.com/Wilco/View.aspx). Wilco has already written some custom Atlas controls so he is a good source of information and very helpful. These guys are pretty much the living set of documentation for Atlas.

Thanks for the info..I have another query...AutoCompleteExtender doesnt seem to work within a .ascx(user control) form.
Please suggest a workaround or where i am going wrong.

Hi Ron,

I have successfully puu the AutoCompleteExtender within a user control without too much issue. You'll need to provide some more details around your problem so that I can diagnose what you might have done incorrectly.

You'll need to make sure that there is an appropriate ClientScriptManager control that can control the inclusion of supporting scripts so that things will work properly. Other than that, I'll need more detail before I can suggest any workarounds.
