    Features Requested

Here is my short list of features I'd like to see added to CacheManager's next release. Please reply with any you have as well: 1) Apply sorting (and perhaps paging) to the list of cached items 2) Support a wider variety of types to display in the cache viewer 3) Show system-stored items in the cache viewer (read-only - do not allow removal of these from cache) That's about all I've come up with in the last 8 months since the initial release of CacheManager. It's likely that any updates that are made will rely on the .NET 2.0 framework so that we'll have better access to generics, web resources, and similar features like the ones we used for SimpleCMS. Also, would anybody be interested in seeing this code posted somewhere like CodePlex, as an open source community project?

    Re: Features Requested

Hi ssmith, great tool! We've found it to be very useful for debuging caching issues on our current application. I would be very interested in seeing the source code if possible. A feature we  think would be great is the ability to see cache entry dependencies. Looking forward to your next update.

    Re: Features Requested

I would love to see Cache Manger move to CodePlex as a community project.  The one feature I would like to see if an added column to see the size each object takes up in cache.  This would be helpful in setting up caching architecture and in general to see how much memory is currently used by ASP.NET cache.

    Re: Features Requested

    Hi,

Fantastic tool. Many thanks for making it avaliable.

Only one wish from me (and not sure if it is possible). I am adding data to the cache with an expiration time. It would be great if I could see the date and time that the data was added to the cache and the time left before it expires.

    Cheers,

    Tom

Awesome tool.  We would love if the tool could work with the cache managers created in the Entertrise Library Cache Block.  Great tool.  Thanks.
