  • Community Credit is fun again!

In the beginning, Community Credit was fun.  Make some blog posts, answer some forum questions, and get a geeky prize (don't judge me, swag whores).  After a while, some folks figured out how to game the system a little, and some seriously major participants also signed up.  Not sure how some of these people got all ...

  • .NET Training You Can't Afford...

I'm sure that's not what they meant to say, but that's how it looked on my Treo 700w.  Doh!

  • Sadness at Sago Mine

Today is my pop's birthday, and I'm always thankful he's still in my life.  Not too far away, 12 families learned lost their fathers early this morning.  To make it all worse, the families were originally told 12 of the 13 trapped miners survived, and the media were quick to report the erroneous report.  Below is a photo of this ...

  • Tag Those Posts About KB Articles, Methods and Properties

Scott Swigart started this off with his post about undocumentation; Jeff Atwood picked that up and suggested Wikis in his post, which has generated some follow-up comments.  I dislike wikis, mainly because the community which is supposed to contribute is generally too busy or apathetic to do so, and that makes them next to useless.  ...

  • [OT] Secrets of the Men's Room Revealed

I live this, too: Speaking of hygiene, I just visited an airport Men’s Room that only had warm air blowers to dry your hands – no towels. They might as well just hang up a sign that says We Encourage You Not to Wash Your Hands. Complete story at http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/the_dilbert_blog/2005/11/hi_jean.html.

  • Reporting Blog Spam via Adsense Ads

Alex Barnett posted about reporting splogs and RSS spam.  Mentioned in passing was reporting via Adsense Ads.  For how to do so, as well as a good overview of the problem, check out Splogs + Scraping + AdSense = Fraud.  In brief, If you run across a site that you consider spammy and it has AdSense on it, click on the “Ads by ...

  • Crossposting from dasBlog to Community Server

I run dasBlog 1.8 on my personal site, and before ASP Advice upgraded, the crosspost worked fine.  Now, however, I can't get the crosspost configured properly.  Anyone have success with this?
